Can I embed a calculator in a published Notion site?

Yes. Notion's Embed blocks work in both private workspace pages and publicly shared/published pages. When you share a page publicly or use Notion Sites, the embedded calculator will be visible and functional for all visitors.

Why does my Notion embed show 'Unable to load'?

Notion only allows embeds from URLs that return proper iframe headers (X-Frame-Options and Content-Security-Policy). CalcIQ allows embedding, so this error usually means a typo in the URL. Make sure you're using https://calciq.app/app?calc=sip (not /app.html). If it still fails, try pasting the full iframe code using /html instead of /embed.

Does the calculator work in Notion databases?

Yes. You can add an Embed block inside any database page (open the page in full view first). The calculator will be functional within the page. However, you cannot embed it in a database property — only inside the page body.

Is there a size limit for Notion embeds?

Notion embeds fill the width of your content area (about 700px on standard pages, wider on full-width pages). You can drag the height handle to resize vertically. We recommend at least 500px height for financial calculators, 400px for simple ones like BMI.

Step-by-step

1Get the calculator URL

Open the CalcIQ embed library and find your calculator. The URL format is:

https://calciq.app/app?calc=sip

Available calculators: sip, emi, fd, coffee, bmi, age, rent-vs-buy, loan-comparison, tip, fuel, and all regional variants.

2Type /embed in your Notion page

Click anywhere on your Notion page and type /embed. Select Embed from the dropdown menu (not "Bookmark" — that only shows a link preview).

3Paste the calculator URL

Paste the URL (e.g., https://calciq.app/app?calc=emi) and press Embed link.

The calculator appears immediately. If you see "Unable to load," double-check the URL has no typos and uses https://.

4Resize for best fit

Drag the bottom edge of the embed block to increase height. Recommendations:

Financial calculators (SIP, EMI, FD): 550-600px height
Simple calculators (BMI, Age, Tip): 400-450px height
Coffee/Fuel calculators: 500px height

Width is automatic — fills your page content area.

Check the URL is exactly https://calciq.app/app?calc=NAME
Make sure you used /embed not /bookmark
Try refreshing the page — Notion sometimes needs a reload

Embed is too short / shows scrollbar

Drag the bottom handle to increase height (550px+ recommended)
Use a full-width page layout for more space
Financial calculators with results need more height than the input form alone
